The Croatian champion GNK Dinamo organized an online auction of Dinamo’s first team jerseys from the match of the 12th round of the SuperSport HNL against Gorica during October – the month of the fight against breast cancer. The pink jerseys worn by the players on that occasion had special markings. The jerseys were decorated with a special ribbon that symbolizes the fight against breast cancer during Pink October. The auction was held through the MatchWornShirt platform, which is a partner of Dinamo, and the amount of EUR 6,059.00 was collected.
The club decided to donate the funds collected from the auction through the official foundation Nema predaje to the Association ”SVE ZA NJU”, which provides psychosocial, informational and logistical support to women suffering from any type of cancer.
The presentation of the donation was attended by club board member Darko Podnar, foundation representatives Ivan Kelava and Iva Cigrovskij and club spokesperson Marko Bošnir on behalf of GNK Dinamo and the Nema Foundation. Secretary General Ljiljana Vukota and representatives of the association Nikolina Jurković, Marina Zubak and Kristina Varsamopulos were present on behalf of the SVE za NJU Association. Dinamo’s first team player Sadegh Moharrami joined the event and participated in the promotional campaign of special pink jerseys before the match itself.
During a short meeting, the representatives of the associations emphasized the importance of helping the community and social responsibility through such actions. Mrs. Vukota expressed great joy and satisfaction that Dinamo recognized their role in the community through the necessary support for women facing cancer.
Through numerous activities during the year, Dinamo and the Foundation support various projects and activities in the field of social responsibility, and in this way they provided support to an association that provides assistance to hundreds of women in the fight against disease. Through the message “NO SURRENDER” and with the donation of financial resources for the implementation of the association’s activities, Dinamo and the foundation tell all sick women and their families to be brave on their life’s journey.
