This year, as part of the celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Foundation “Nema predaje” would like to address a few words of support to all fans and citizens with disabilities in our community.
Unfortunately, persons with disabilities, children and adults, still do not have equal opportunities, equal rights and equal access to society in our community. That is why it is the mission, task and obligation of all of us to work together in order to raise awareness of the importance of integrating people with disabilities into society as well as the importance of equity, equality and equal opportunities.
It is often considered that persons with disabilities are unable to work, that children with disabilities are not able to play sports, that they should not be able to participate in various educational and entertainment activities, that children and adults with disabilities should generally not be involved in activities that they love, for example, sports, education, entertainment, leisure activities. We believe that such assumptions are absolutely wrong and we believe that every human being has the right and should be able to participate in society fully, without obstacles, without restrictions, without discrimination and inequality. We are committed to promoting the integration of persons with disabilities into society whenever and wherever possible, especially in football and other sports where there are many talented and top athletes with disabilities.
Through a series of previous activities, through the Foundations’ call for donations, through individual donations to natural persons and associations, the Foundation actively shows its position on the importance of including persons with disabilities in our society and it will continue to work on it continuously, because the only proper attitude is that all people should have equal rights and opportunities. We will definitely help in that mission!
