During autumn, the Foundation “Nema predaje” donated a defibrillator for the use at the Polytechnic of Međimurje in Čakovec.
At the request of the young man Noel Rok, who is a 2nd year student of tourism and sports management at the Polytechnic and who is also a person with a congenital heart defect, the Foundation decided to donate an AED device that is crucial in the event of a cardiac arrest and can saves someone’s life.
Through this donation, the Dinamo Foundation wants to show awareness of the importance of preventing cardiac deaths with the help of a defibrillator, which is certainly something that is being worked on in Dinamo’s system as a football club in the context of preventing cardiac deaths in football players. The value of the donation is HRK 20,000.00.
At the end of 2021, the donations was handed over to the Polytechnic of Međimurje in Čakovec, in a region where Dinamo has an extremely large number of fans. On behalf of the Dinamo Foundation, the player of the first team Danijel Štefulj and the Trustee of GNK Dinamo Stane Lazar and Zlatko Premuš were present, while the donation was received by the dean of the faculty doc. dr. sc. Igor Klopotan and student Noel Rok. At the handover, the player Daniel Štefulj handed over to Noel a Dinamo’s jersey as a souvenir.
– I came across the Foundation “Nema predaje” to help with the realization of the idea, and it wasn’t long before the Dinamo Trustees and player Daniel Štefulj arrived at the Polytechnic with the donation and a defibrillator. It is a device that can save the lives of people whose heart stops beating. I am glad that the Foundation has decided to donate the device, which is very important in possible critical events. It means a lot to all of us and I sincerely thank you for the donation – said Noel Rok at the donation handover.
– We are extremely proud and happy to be here on behalf of the Foundation “Nema predaje” and as Dinamo’s Trustees in our Međimurje to hand over this important device to Noel and the faculty. It is essential that the defibrillator exists at the faculty, that students, professors and staff are educated on how to use it and that we teach others together why it is so important – said Dinamo Trustee Stane Lazar at the donation handover.
We believe that by donating the defibrillator, we are raising awareness of the role of such an AED device in the prevention of cardiac deaths.
